Hello, I'm Jack
I am a multi award-winning hair stylist based in Fortitude Valley, Brisbane. I specialise in creative cutting and colour that is tailored, refined, and considered.
Whether you prefer something natural and minimal, more directional and expressive, or somewhere in between, I approach every appointment with the same care, curiosity, and attention to detail.
My work has been featured globally, and I have presented to international audiences, recognised within the Australian industry for technical precision and creative direction. What I value most, however, is the quiet focus of individual appointments and the long-term relationships built over time.
Outside the studio, I draw inspiration from art, design, architecture, and fashion. I value time in nature, and the steady rhythm of everyday life with my husband and our fur-babies.
Choosing a new hairdresser?
As a stylist and colourist of over twenty years, I understand how challenging (and sometimes scary) it can be to find someone new to take care of your tresses.
You're not just booking a service...
You’re sitting with someone new, trusting them with your appearance, your time, and often a sense of how you want to feel when you leave.
I believe the best results, and the best experiences, come from focus, ease, and genuine connection.
No chaos. No overlap. No conveyor belt. Just thoughtful conversation (or comfortable silence), meticulous attention, and time.
Through careful consultation and attentive listening, I aim to understand not only what you say, but what you mean.
Let's start the conversation, and go from there!
My Story
I began my hairdressing career in 2004 as a salon tea-and-tidy, sweeping floors and making coffees. Very quickly, I realised I was drawn not only to the craft itself, but to the way hair could shift how someone felt about themselves. I went on to complete my four year apprenticeship in Ascot, Brisbane, learning the foundations that still underpin my work today.
Over the next two decades, my career expanded in ways I could not have predicted. I owned a large salon, educated teams, presented nationally and internationally, worked backstage at fashion weeks, and saw my work published globally. Each chapter taught me something different. Leadership taught me responsibility. Education sharpened my clarity. Creative work pushed my technical boundaries.
Owning a larger salon was a defining experience. It taught me how to hold space for a team, how to make decisions under pressure, and how much energy it takes to sustain momentum at scale. It also showed me what I valued most. The moments that stayed with me were never the loudest or busiest ones. They were the quieter appointments, where there was time to listen carefully and work with intention.
Over time, I have come to see hair as something far more personal than style. It is often tied to identity, transitions, confidence, and self perception. People rarely sit in the chair simply wanting a haircut. More often, they are navigating change, seeking reassurance, or wanting to feel like themselves again. That understanding has shaped the way I work more than any trend ever could.

During the height of the pandemic, like many in the industry, I paused. The pace and structure of the traditional salon model no longer aligned with how I wanted to work. I felt increasingly drawn toward a slower, more intentional experience. One that allowed space for conversation, focus, and genuine connection.
That shift led me back to something simpler and more personal. Today, I work from my private studio in Fortitude Valley, where appointments are unhurried and individual. The environment reflects what I value most in my work: integrity, humility, creativity, and care.
